GP2010 Fixed Asset Module - Assets Not Accessible except by SA Account

Posted on by 95

Fixed Assets were entered when running a previous version of GP.  The module has not been used in some time.  In GP2010, using an account with a PowerUser Role, I go into cards/fixed assets/general.  When I try to lookup an asset, I get the message "the selected record has been deleted."  this mesage actually pops up over the class setup lookup window, so I can see the assets are there.

When I do the same thing with the SA account, I can access the lookup window and have no errors.  We have tried different roles for our user, as well as creating a new user with the PowerUser Role in case it was a security issue with the account from the old version.

I am out of idea's, any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Run Grant.sql  (gives users access).  The other would be to run the reconcile (on the FA data)  Tools>>Utilities>>Fixed Assets>>Reconcile.

But I have a feeling the grant.sql will take care of it.  Against Dynamics and the companies you have FA setup in.
