Hello everyone,
I developed an application in the development environment of my organization. This application displays employee data extracted from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 FO) using Data Entities. When testing the application using multiple accounts within my organization, the data retrieval process was successful without any issues.
After that, I shared the application with a user outside my organization, who has access to my D365 environment, granting them all the necessary permissions within the system. This user was also able to view the data successfully.
Current issue:
I have finished testing the application in the development environment, and I now want to change the data source of the application to retrieve data from another company instead of my company's data. To transfer the application:
I migrated the application's connectors to the client's environment.
I ensured that the same entities exist in the client's environment.
However, when trying to retrieve the client's data from their environment, I encountered a problem. I receive the error message:
And I can only access the client's data using the account with which I created the application.
I tried using the account with which I created the application, and the data was retrieved successfully.
When using accounts from my organization or other accounts belonging to the client, I cannot retrieve the data.
I want to understand why I can only access the client's data using my personal account, and how I can enable other accounts to access this data.
If there is any part that needs further clarification, please let me know to provide the required details.
