Today we discovered the recruiter role is able to see any employees compensation by selecting their employee record and selecting verify employment. This displays a pop out form and near the bottom compensation is displayed. Is this expected? It seems odd that a recruiter would have access to all employees compensation. If the same user edits the employee record they can't see compensation so it seems inconsistent.
I understand a recruiter would see salaries of candidates however seems wrong that they can see all employees compensation. Does anyone have any input on what privilege or duty handles this as we would consider making a custom version of the recruiter role.
Hi Dudditz,
Note that the roles out of the box are examples. I can imagine, next to salary, a recruiter should be able to compare compensations. However, there are also companies which will not allow recruiters to see salary nor the compensations.
You can use the Security diagnostics on each form to find out which privileges, roles and duties do have access to each form. Then you can collect the required information to configure the role for your organization.
Could you show me more details about this? In my test, the role ‘Recruiter’ can’t view employees’ compensation in Employees form. Have you added any other roles to this user? Such as Compensation and benefits manager.
