Modified Purchase Order Report Template with Project Accounting

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I have been unable to get GP to print out a modified word template. I have GP installed with Project Accounting. I followed the steps exactly as detailed by Dave Dusek in this thread: https://community.dynamics.com/gp/f/32/p/74376/139126.aspx#139126

No matter what I do, the original, unmodified word template is printed.

I have verified in Template Maintenance that the modified report and my modified template are assigned to my company and set as the default. I verified in Template Maintenance that my changes to the template did in fact take affect (right clicked, chose modify, verified that the template was modified). I verified in Template Configuration that my company has the modified POP Purchase Order Blank Form template selected.

I verified that in Alternate/Modified Forms and Reports my user class is set to use the modified template (the other two options are the original template and Project Accounting). Note: if I choose Project Accounting, only the standard report will print, not a word template.

Based on the title and description, the video link below seemed promising but the actual video link is broken: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/dynamicsgp/archive/2012/04/24/project-accounting-alternate-po-with-word-templates.aspx

One useful resource I found on this topic was this blog post regarding project accounting and word templates: http://dynamicsgpblogster.blogspot.com/2012/01/word-templates-printing-to-html.html

Does anyone have any ideas about this?

Thanks
