Can we develop Digital signature utility in AX 2012 R2 or we have to purchase 3rd party tool?

Hi Experts,

We are in requirement of implementing digital signature in sales invoices and other invoices generated from AX 2012 R2.

Here my question is whether any class or library available in AX 2012 to develop utility to apply digital signature or we have to purchase digital signature 3rd party tool to apply digital signature. 

If anyone have developed/implemented same please let me know.

Please share your experiences. Thanks in Advance.

    Hi Jay,

    There is a concept of electronic signatures in AX2012. Can you use this or what is the exact goal for a digital signature? Is your requirement like DocuSign?

    HI Jay,

    Regarding digital signatures, You can try to add a digital signature to the model file.

    AX2012 supports two ways of signing a model: strong name signing and Authenticode signing.

    Hi Andre,

    Yes, our requirement is like DocuSign.  After generating sales invoices or free text invoices we want to generate PDF (from SSRS report) and apply digital signature on it. So we can send soft copy of invoice and don't need to send the physical copy of invoice to our customer.  It will save our courier and printing cost.

    Please let me know if you have any doubt/question in above.
