Pre populate postal codes?

Hi Everyone,

I am curious how everyone is managing the postal code lookup requirement in Business Central.   We are going through implementation and we don't like that feature and there seems to be no way to disable.   Our thoughts are to prepopulate all the postal codes in our country (Canada).  So that users and API order creation do not have to consider having to populate the lookup.

Is this the right approach?  Has anyone actually disabled it to have free-form address entry (either setting or via customization).

    Hi

    We are doing business with Canada and we downloaded all Canadian Zip Code and uploaded to BC. Now the zip code lockup works. That being said you can go to General Ledger Setup and define what kind of local address you are looking for.

    Hi, yes, importing the postal code in advance will make the address input more convenient.

    As for the new feature mentioned by MahGah, I have tested it before, and hope to give you some inspiration.

    Hello,

    When I implement a US or Canadian based customer, using a Configuration Package I load the Canadian Post Code listing. Attached is the configuration package and Canadian Post Code CSV to import.
