MRP creates extra PO after product receipt

Hi, 

I came across an issue in Dynamics 365 F&O. 

Scenario:

  • Sales order creates a purchase order through MRP
  • A Product Receipt is posted while an MRP run is already executing (about 5-40 seconds after the run starts)
  • After the MRP run finishes, an additional purchase order is created for the same sales order demand

If the product receipt is posted right before the MRP run starts, the extra purchase order is not created. Has anyone seen this behavior before? Is a known issue and does anybody know how to overcome this issue?

    Could you check the negative days settings on both the item coverage group and the item coverage setup?
