Final Transition date moved to 1/8/2021?

All official communication regarding transition to Unified Interface, Final Transition date has been 12/1/2020. We have also seen that the latest date available for approving transition is 12/4/2020. In the portal, I now see that Final Transition date is set to 1/8/2021. Is the transition date postponed to this date?

This is correct: if you have NOT opted-in your environment for the transition on an auto-transition wave (the last one being December 4th), THEN your environment will be automatically transitioned to "Unified Interface Only" on January 8th 2021 (NB: the date is different per region - this applies to crm4 customers).

If I am reading this correctly - it means that if I do not select a date for transition, e.g. 12/04/2020 - then the UI will be deployed automatically on 01/08/2021. Is that correct? Therefore I can then continue to use the old interface until that date without disruption. Can you confirm this please? Thanks

    Hello Beate,

The same information shared by Henry is also displayed on the page where you select and approve the dates:

Hope it helps to clarify your question.

    Hi Beate,

    This is addressed here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/model-driven-apps/faqs-transition-unified-interface#within-the-transition-portal-i-can-see-a-final-transition-date-which-is-after-december-1-2020-what-does-this-mean

Within the transition portal, I can see a final transition date which is after December 1, 2020. What does this mean?

If you are still using the legacy web client after December 1, 2020, we will automatically transition your environment to Unified Interface. This process will be applied by geographic location. The Final Transition Date column indicates when we expect this to happen. All the dates are shown in the MM/DD/YYYY format. Consider this the last date when the legacy web client will be available for your environment. We strongly discourage any customers delaying the transition until the last minute. The legacy web client will no longer be available to users after the final transition date. So, there won't be any opportunity to switch back and continue testing should you run into any issues after this date.

    Henry
