Hi All,

We are trying to show the "CreatedOn"  Date and Createdby User in the notes in Timeline section. Is there a way to achieve this, there seems to be no way to add any new card for notes neither it is allowing us to edit the existing one. We were able tomodify the activities but the notes don't seem to be allow customization.

Thanks,

SB

I have the same question (0)

    Hello SB,

I don't think such customizations are possible in Unified Interface (don't think this was ever possible in the legacy web client either).

Feel free to submit features for these on https://experience.dynamics.com/ideas (if specific to a Dynamics 365 app) or https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Ideas/ct-p/PA_Comm_Ideas (for Power Apps / model-driven apps features).

    Hello Henry,

    Thank you for your reply.

I thought so as well, in the legacy client the createdby and date showed, so was wondering if there is a remote possibility.

The issue we are facing is that the users use the notes section a lot and when a case is assigned (or a user opens a note and by mistake clicks on "Save" ) the note is considered as modified and the date is updated. So, what happens is that there are too many notes, all of them show up in the same date and time stamp. Thanks anyways, will check the feature/idea submission.

If the cascading reassignment of the case related notes isn't necessary, you could probably change the relationship to "configurable cascading" and set the assign behavior to "none". That way, assigning the case to a new owner wouldn't reassign its related notes.

Yes, I am exploring that as a last option, but need to tweak the user level permissions and see if they are fine with the notes ownership not being assigned to the new user.

    Thanks,

    SB
