Store/HQ Polling Times

Time for an easy question!  If the polling schedule is set on a store server, on the HQ client schedule tab..Is there anyway this can change through 401 data upload worksheets?  Or any other way?

    your right, you can't force one from that point of view,

    everyconnect of hq client, it retrieves the schedule and timer restarts in the hqclient, meaning the hqclient doesn't poll the db everyminute to ask , should I go now ? should I go now ? should I go now ?

    instead its a hardcoded timer that resets in the application, so unless the makers of this great software tought about passing commands to it, your only option is stop client, restart client..

    a batch file, with maybe a kill.exe application (google it)

    kill.exe HQCLIENT.exe

    HQCLIENT.exe

    that would force a new connection ,

    you could always make that a button and ask cashier to RESET the HQ client that way ;)

    The polling schedule is set in the store properties in HQ Manager; I believe you can only change the polling schedule from there, not from the store server / HQ client. I believe the 401 worksheet is what will update the connection properties in HQ Client after they have been changed in HQ Mgr.
