Dynamics 365 Version 9 issues

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello all.  We have a test environment set up for version 1612 (9.0.3.7) (db 9.0.3.7) on-prem and have a lot of issues around search and lookups.  Are production instance version 1612 (8.2.2.112) (db 8.2.2.112) is running just fine.

the first issue is global search.  If I search for Aswath in version 8 I get hits in the contacts, activities, and quotes entities.  If I do the same in version 9 I only get results in quotes.

Please note that the entities seem correct in admin settings.

Secondly, lookups from any entity to any entity fail on a a SQL server error.  If I attempt a lookup for an owner in the account master, I get the following:

If the owner field is blanked out, it will go to the look for more records popup successfully, but that fails as soon as you search with data.  Here is the errorDetails file

I am finding nothing helpful on the web when I search for clues here.  we've dropped full-text searches and then rebuilt them to no avail.

We would appreciate any sliver of guidance anyone could provide.

Thanks.
