Hi,
You can check pricing and details on Microsoft Dynamics resources. Microsoft provides a detailed PDF with information on features and licensing, which is updated regularly. Additionally, the Microsoft Sales team can provide further guidance.
Regarding your question:
"If we add a new user with the D365 Sales Enterprise Edition license, can this user still access anything created in D365 by another user with a D365 Sales Enterprise Embedded license?"
Based on my experience, a Sales Enterprise license user should be able to view records created by any other user, regardless of their license type. Since records are stored in Dataverse, as long as the Enterprise license user has the appropriate role, access, and privileges, they will be able to see the records. For instance, if the user has been granted Global access or a System Administrator role, access should be seamless.
One limitation, however, is that Sales Premium users have access to additional modules. These modules may not be accessible to Sales Enterprise users due to the license’s restricted feature set.
Regards
Ali
No, "Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise embedded" and "Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise Edition" are not the same thing, and one did not replace the other. They represent different licensing and deployment models.
Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise Edition: This is the standard, full version of Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise. It's what most organizations use. You typically license users for this edition.
Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise embedded: This was a specialized version designed to be embedded within other applications. It was intended for specific scenarios where you wanted to bring Dynamics 365 Sales functionality inside another application experience. This was less common.
