Hi there
We are in the process of moving from another ESP to D4M and have a large list of suppressed contacts. i.e. those that we want to ensure that we never email them again.
According to the documentation the best way to do this is to add the contacts to a marketing list and then add them to a segment, then set the segment as the suppressed segment in the marketing journey.
Q: Are these suppressed contacts then excluded from the overall marketing contact count? or are they included because they are part of the customer journey?
Thanks!
I believe it is all contacts that are within customer insights that have had a marketing interaction are classified as a Marketing contact, which means they count including suppressed contacts . Hi Tim_H,
Thanks for reaching out!!
As per my understanding, by using the suppression segment you can exclude the contacts from receiving any marketing mail for that particular customer journey. But that contact is still there in the your marketing contacts and can be part of any other customer journey. So yes those contacts still included in marketing contact count overall.
Hope this helps!!
