I love refreshable Excel reports. There are many different ways you can create them.

An easy way to get started would be to deploy the Excel reports from Reporting Tools Setup (Tools >> Setup >> System >> Reporting Tools Setup). Here is a post from Ian Grieve on how to deploy: https://community.dynamics.com/gp/b/azurecurve/archive/2012/06/20/how-to-deploy-excel-reports-in-microsoft-dynamics-gp-2010-r2

You can also create your own links to DGP data, directly from Excel. Start with the Data tab in Excel, then choose From Other Sources, then choose one of the options. My two favorite options are From SQL Server and From Microsoft Query. I'm excited to try the From OData Data Feed, with DGP 2016, but I haven't tried it yet.

Let me know if you have any specific questions or challenges with getting started. Best of luck with it!
