What am I missing? The "Add Sample Company Data" selection is missing from GP Utilities. Has it finally happened? Have I finally been using Dynamics GP for long enough that I've forgotten that was a new feature at some point?
This is for a client still rocking GP 16.00.0052:
Any ideas? The customer actually WANTS Fabrikam installed... (It currently isn't; I checked.)

Richard, there is an old question with a similar problem that you had also commented on. In that case, the person had an issue due to it being a terminal server. I don't understand why that would be an issue but I thought I'd link here in case any of you did understand. :)

Thanks for the interaction, I really appreciate your time. Yes to "sa". The client on GP2016 - I think R1, even - and not willing to update - long story. Your idea of installing a Q&D local Express version is intriguing. If nothing else I could at least get the DB (assuming GP Utilities lets me.) That's good idea right there and appeals to my inner hacker.

Do you have a workstation that you can install SQL Express on and then GP ? You could then run GP Utilities. Now if you use your install media and the lesson company option is not there then there is something wrong with your install media. You could try upgrading it to 18.5 and I bet the option will be available. If the lesson option is there then they is something in your DYNAMICS database preventing this. Now you are launching GP Utilities as 'sa', correct? Only 'sa' can create databases.
So, yeah, there's nothing in the DYNAMICS database called "TWO":

Do you have a SQL search tool? I would try searching for the string TWO.
I have never not seen the create and/or update TWO option.
Sorry, should've clarified. I've been around long enough that I already checked all of those things. No reference in SY01500, no database, nothing even in SY10500 (in case there was remnants from a prior install?) I don't know off the top of my head what other tables to check, though. DU0000010, maybe? Thoughts?
If you go into SSMS do you see a database called TWO?
Does this return an INTERID of TWO:
SELECT INTERID FROM DYNAMICS.dbo.SY01500
The TWO company is alive and well. Something in your data is preventing from from seeing this option.
I would remove all references to TWO, if you find any.
Try going to Tools->Utilities->System->Delete Company and see if you see TWO there.
