Test Automations for Master Data Sharing between BC Companies

Hi all,

I would like ask you if there is a way how to test via Test Automations (Test Codeunits / Test Procedures) if some entity like Customer, Vendor, Item, etc. created in Master Company has been transferred and created in Sub Company? The main "issue" here is that creating entity in Sub Company is done via StartSession in our solution and this cannot be used in Test Codeunit / Test Procedure.

I also tried to create Job Queue Entry (via ChangeCompany) record to process and create entity in Sub Company - it seems that Job Queue in Sub Company has been processed from Test Codeunit / Test Procedure as Job Queue Log Entry exists but unfortunately the target entity is not created. Not sure if it's because calling Codeunit.Run(Codeunit::"Job Queue Dispatcher", JobQueueEntry); is again executed in current company which is Master Company in my test case? Or probably because of test isolation as even Job Queue started the correct codeunit there is nothing to process as data itself were prepared in test isolation?

Thanks in advance for your help or tip :-)

Hello  - We currently do not have dedicated Dev support via the Dynamics 365 Business Central forums, but I wanted to provide you some additional resources to assist.  If you need assistance with debugging or coding I would recommend discussing this on one of our communities.

I will open this up to the community in case they have something to add.
