Business Central v2.0 APIEerrors

Hello Business Central Community,

I am integrating BC with third party/E-commerce app using BC API (v2.0). The problem is when transferring Sales Order from my app to BC not all Sales Order lines are created. The next error interrupts some Sales Order Lines from creating/attaching to Sales Order draft: The app returned "Sorry, we just updated this page. Reopen it, and try again. CorrelationId: 6422606f-84e4-4369-9242-20705725b511.".
Could someone explain me what does it mean and how to fix it, please?

Thanks.

    Hello,

the error actually means that another user changed the data, so either the data is stale in cache, or some other user has been updating the same sales order(s). I guess you see the problem more when the system is busy, and you won't get the error if you run this integration when no other users are logged on, or at least not working with Sales orders?

The fix is for the third party supplier to look at whether they can make the application more recilient for multi users by locking records for example.

    I hope this helps you?

    Hello again,

    Thanks for the quick reply.

The problem is with one user that creates order lines in a loop for earlier created order draft. The first couple of lines are created successfully, but the rest of lines getting that error.

It does not mean there are multiple users that access/modify this order data.

I assume that locking records is possible only in BC database. How 3rd party app can do that?
