Help with security restrictions in Sales Order Processing

We are running GP 10.0 and are trying to limit the access for individuals to make changes to Sales Orders.

We have successfully restricted them from doing that, but we would like those individuals to be able to transfer orders to backorders and transfer backorders to orders. The problem is that it seems to require permission to create sales orders in order to execute that transfer. Is there any way to allow transfer of already created documents without giving them permission to go in and change other details in existing orders?

Leslie is correct. This is not a common practice so you will need some type of customization using VBA, or use Field Level Security.

You have two tools you can use. VBA and Field Level Security.
