Is there a way to sort Sales Orders from newest to oldest? The default is oldest to newest and I don't know how to change it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You can sort any column in BC by both ascending and descending order by clicking on that column or selecting the dropdown arrow and selecting Ascending or Descending:

For newest to oldest sort by the No. column or Document Date column. Higher number SOs will be the newest or if you need it to be specific to date then sort by the document date.

Sorry, I didn't make it clear. This is an issue with the mobile app version of BC. Appreciate the help though.

Yes, you can sort Sales Orders by clicking a column header, but it is not the default. You need to sort it manually each time, after open the Sales Orders page.

If you want a default sort order, it can be done through development. In the OnPageOpen trigger, set the Key and set Ascending = false.

If you're on the mobile app you can create views but not much else.

As an alternative you can just access Business Central through the browser on your phone and then sorting works the same as PC/desktop if you use "Desktop mode" or "Desktop site" instead. Works well enough for me when I use Chrome or Edge on my phone itself.

Thank you for the suggestion. Whenever I try logging in to BC on the browser it redirects me to the app. Do you have a workaround for that? Thanks.

    Hello,

Create and save the sorted view first in the normal Business Central web client.

Then add /tablet after the tenant/environment part of the URL to open tablet mode. Open Sales Orders, select the three dots, go to Views, and choose the saved view. The same saved view will be available for that user in tablet or mobile mode.
