What happens if you calculate a period that is in process currently?

We are seeing this same issue with Management Reporter. Does Reconcile fix this? Thanks!
Management Reporter shows no information - what do I need to do to reconcile as I would think this process would bring information back to the report?
I did not modify any dates. It didn't appear to have done anything except uncheck all prior months in the set up window. I just rechecked them.
If you did not modify any dates and the period structure has not changed, then there is no impact by doing "Calculate".
If you modified the periods such as add new period or modify beginning/Ending dates, then the summary information will be incorrect in various modules such as Receivable, Payables and Financial. You will need to run Reconcile process to correct the Summary information.
