Attribut Subject.FeatureMask is not taken into account in the subject list tree view

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello everybody,

It is possible to hide a parent subject and these children by setting the FeatureMask attribute to 0.
On the subjects administration page, the hidden subject no longer appears : Great !
But with Dynamics Crm 2016, in a form using the Subject field (for example an incident), the hidden subject always appears in the subject tree view.

This was not the case with Dynamics Crm 2011.

Did I miss something, or is it a bug?

Best regards.

Djedje

Probably, considering that they do mention the attribute here:

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../mt593006.aspx

Although, I don't know if Microsoft has ever described proper usage of this attribute.. so it's almost like "for system use only".

Yes, you are right ! It is exactly the same problem.

In my case, I can't delete a subject. ( because of a business rule)

This look like a bug, is int it ?

    Hi,

this looks exactly like what you are talking about:

And, it seems, you can't get rid of the hidden subjects that easily anymore(delete them, maybe?).
