This is the problem - I can't figure out how to get YTD Net Income on my balance sheet in FRx using an account set. I think Row Modifiers must be the key, but haven't figured it out yet. So I searched the knowledge base for info and found the Microsoft FRx 6.7 Sample Reports document that explains how to explore the "sample reports". I don't have those sample reports on my system. So my two questions are:
How do I get the sample reports to play with?
How do I get YTD Net Income to calculate correctly on the balance sheet using an account set?
Thanks for any feedback that you can give.

Sorry for the late reply, I'm away at the moment and only getting internet access every now and then. Send on the screen shot whenever.
Best regards,
Ian.
What is your email address? I can't paste in a screen shot to this reply.
Good stuff on getting it sorted.
The non printing rows is a good idea, as it allows ou to easily modify the row format to how the make up of a figure if you ever needed to...ie just delete the NP settings on ech line.
Can you email me a screen shot of your account set?
Best regards,
Thanks so much for that! I found them.
Net income - I was trying to use an account set with all revenue/cost/expense accounts. I don't know why that wouldn't calculate right, but I gave up on it and used non printing rows combined with wildcards, then a total row. That worked, so crisis over, but I still want to know why the account set wasn't working.
Hi Susan,
You can view sampe reports by opening FRx. Log in as normal, and then click on Company >> Select Default. Then select the company FW (Filmworks Inc) from the list. In here you will find a large number of reports and you can look at the row / column formats and trees to get ideas.
How do you define YTD net income? Is this the YTD Gross income amounts from your GL, less the YTD Cost of Sales?
It should be a straighforward matter of creating a line in a rowformat called 'Net Income'...and including in this all of your Revenue Accounts less your Cost accounts.
Then place a YTD column in your column layout.
Hope this helps. If not, post again.
