Hi All,

How does Organization Hierarchy work in Talent?

We have Legal Entities, Business Units, Cost Centres and Department. Is there an internal Hierarchy within these Operating Units?

    Hi Shrikrish,

Organizational hierarchies are used for viewing and reporting on your business from various perspectives. For example, you can set up one hierarchy for tax, legal, or statutory reporting. You can then set up another hierarchy to report financial information that is not legally required, but that is used for internal reporting.

    Hi Adrian,

    Thanks for the response.

So how does one create the reporting structure in Organization Hierarchy.

    Eg.

    We have a Legal

4 Legal Entities>> Then we have Regions >> Country >> Within each country there are Departments (One might not have the same department across all countries) >> Various Cost Center

    Eg.

ABC >> APAC/EMEA etc >> NZ, AU etc >> IT, Accounts, Sales , Customer Service >> 7 Cost centers which for a Department >> Withing these cost centres are Employees.

Now how does one see this Department hierarchy.

    Kind regards

    Shri

    Hi Shrikrish,

This article on organizing your workforce by using departments, jobs, and positions will give you a good overview. This section covers creating departments and including them in the department hierarchy.

    RE: Organization Hierarchy

    Hi,

I have a similar question, how do I create Division, Section, Group etc.? Is it best practice to create them All as departments and then create a department hierarchy since operating units are limited?

    Thanks!
