Hello Team,

is there a safe way to delete an asset in AX without GL hit? currently, customer transfered the asset and depreciation was written of via GL.

    Hi Manabat,

There is a confusion in the question, first you said without GL hit then you mentioned dep written of via GL.

Can you give us the complete details? to help you with proper  suggestions.

As others said, once you post transactions to sub-ledgers(FA etc) we cannot delete it however we can stop it for future transactions by suspending.

    Regards,

    Prem

    Hi Manabat,

If there is not transaction posted on the fixed asset then you can delete it.

    Otherwise you cannot.

Why is it that the fixed asset transactions were not recorded in the fixed asset module?

Don't you want to reverse the GL transactions and record them in the fixed asset module by making use of the standard fixed asset module functionalities?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi,

If there is any transactions, you can not delete the FA.

As a solution, you can make the FA suspended for future.
