Hi all,

We are currently working on an upgrade from BC14 to BC16 following this documentation: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/upgrade/upgrade-unmodified-application-v14-v16.

The BC14 database has an unmodified C/AL base and has a custom extension installed.

When we got to Task 7 i.e. publish symbols and extensions, we proceeded to install the custom extension but got 2 different errors as follows;

We have 2 questions:

  1. Error 1 clearly states that the 'Sales Price' table is being replaced - Since this is a warning and not an error, can we ignore this warning until we upgrade and then fix the extension when the database is upgraded to BC16?
  2. For error 2, we had created a custom field in the Item table called 'Purchasing Code' and now Microsoft has created a new field with the same name - what is the best approach to take here?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

    1. you can ignore for now as it is a warning.

    2. you have to change your field name and your company initials as Prefix/Siffix so that field name will be different to Microsoft names. Please follow this for all new fields in your custom extensions.
