I've spent days reviewing the following among many other sources.

I'm struggling to understand little own configure Social Engagement.

I searched Microsoft Channel 9 & Virtual Academy for a training course. I've not been able to find a step by step course ideally with video instruction. Videos I've watched are primary marketing videos. Good illustrations of software capability but not easy to apply to a configurational setup project requirement.

I've used twit deck in the past and various other tools all were relatively easy to setup and learn how to use but I'm really struggling with Dynamics Social Engagement.

I would really appreciate any pointers, help you can provide.

    Great I'll keep an eye out for that. 

    Is the training project based i.e. worked through examples?

    Personally I always understand things better if examples are real world based.

    I'm actually recording the new training right now!  It should be release via the Dynamics Learning Portal within the next several weeks.

    Hello Hamlet DRC

    I want to be able to make use of the total software package. 

    Setup accounts. Key word research, adding and amending words and attain results. Currently I think I have setup accounts and key words yet the screen dashboards remain blank. No data feedback.

    Ideally a training program starting with a blank screen building towards a complete worked through example. For example twitter or Facebook. An illustrative step by step video would be of numerous help. Plus links to supporting text. 

    Current videos flick around illustrating capability but don't explain set-up. Text webpages generally have multiple references, links to other pages. Referring to these more often than not refer to more links. Before you know it three or more browser tabs are open and I'm still no closer to achieving the original objective. In other words its all to easy to lose focus on achieving the original objective. 

    An instructional step by step training project would help me and others to understand, visualise the configurational setup i.e. the how and why. Such an example will help me to apply the knowledge learnt to my own needs and client projects. Perhaps an Adventure Works, FabriKam scenario would be helpful.

    As it is I just don't get the how. I'm not, IT illiterate, I'm happy developing SQL data cubes, Power BI, & website coding etc. I'm sure I've probably missed one or two simple steps and once I've completed training project I will wonder how the hell I missed the key points.
