How to pass a fieldvalue from a page onto a report?

ReportReport

So i have a value on a page from a field that i would like to use while running a report.

What i tried in code is this:

ReportRun: Report GetPurchPricesDisc;

ReportRun.SetParameter(BatchName);
Report.Run(Report::"GetPurchPricesDisc");
Now as i guessed this returns an empty value in the report since they aren't bound to each other in any way.
In what way can i solve this?

    Hi

    instead of Report.Run(Report::"GetPurchPricesDisc"); use report variable to run the report.

    --> ReportRun.Run();

    Hi , as per your question.

    ReportRun: Report GetPurchPricesDisc;

    ReportRun is the Variable for the report GetPurchPricesDisc.

    So in the code

    ReportRun.SetParameter(BatchName);

    ReportRun.Run();

    This will solve your problem
