Issue when Configure the Excel Add-In in Business Central

Hi all,

I have some questions when configure the Excel Add-In in Business Central (BC160).

I had referred the link as below:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/administration/configuring-excel-addin

Below are my questions:

1) Is it setting the access token lifetime is compulsory when configure the Excel Add-In?

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/administration/authenticating-users-with-azure-active-directory

Based on this link, Installing the PowerShellGet is required right? And its minimum requirement is for Windows Server 2016 or latest right?

2)  I had hit the error when Specify the WS-federation login endpoint. I had specified a URL in the following format

login.microsoftonline.com/<AAD TENANT ID>/wsfed?wa=wsignin1.0%26wtrealm=<Application ID URI>%26wreply=<Redirect URL>

How can I solve the issue above?

Thank you.

    Hello,

Related to 1: it is recommendation when SSO is being used to authenticate users. You can use NavUserPassword with the Excel Add-In. So technically, it is not required but it is highly recommended to do this when using Azure AD SSO. I was able to install the PowerShell commands on my Windows 10 device.

As per documentation this is a correctly formatted login endpoint:

    WS-Federation Login Endpoint

    login.windows.net/.../wsfed.

The placeholder [AADTENANTID] represents the GUID of your Azure AD tenant.

    Hope it does help.
