Custom field like to map in base data entity

Hi team,

I have added a new date field in my CUSTOM table.

That field I like to map with Inventory adjustment Journal header and line entity.

Kindly let me know

1.how I can find the correct entity name for Inventory adjustment journal?

2.let me know the steps to map custom field in base (stnd.) Data entity. For example- inventory adjustment journal header line entity.

Pls. Give me more shed on this.

Hi, You can find the data entity from UI in Form. Find the form for inventory adjustment journal, click on Microsoft office button next to attachments button and check the data entity name.

We can't modify standard data entities so to add custom field, you need to create data entity extension and its staging table extension. Add field in data entity extension and staging table extension.

I noticed you mentioned custom table, can you add your custom table as datasource in data entity extension.

No Mohit, I haven't yet add my custom table in data entity extension.

I have already mentioned that let me know the process to map custom field to map with base data entity.

Kindly elaborate the steps pls.

if there is table relation between your custom table and data entity form datasource table then it's same as joining datasource in form via table relations otherwise you can explore virtual field or computed field as well.

Hi,

You can use Inventory adjustment header and lines V2 entity.

For adding custom table to datasource you need to find the relation between table in entity datasource - If exists add directly otherwise create relation in custom table.
