Merging multiple store DB to create a master DB

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Good day all I have a customer with 3 stores that is currently not on headquarters and needs to have a loyalty program that can work across all locations. The only solutions I have come across are to have all location under headquarters and to use a service that provides a hosted loyalty solution, the problem with this is that there is a reoccurring cost that the customer does not want, therefore the only alternative I have is to go headquarters! The thing is the 3 stores sell different items which is not what headquarters was really designed for. My question is how do I combine the 3 stores to create a master database for headquarters without losing any data? I would really be grateful for your assistance.

Shannon, One alternative would be to create a custom loyalty program for your company. We can certainly offer this service, and there would be no re-occurring costs to you beyond the initial cost to develop. If this sounds interesting to you, please drop me an email or give me a call and we can discuss the details.

HI Shannon,I think we can merge these stores but I need to confirm the following points,1. Items lookup codes are unique on the stores level.

    2. What types of items you are using 'standard, matrix, etc.'?
