Changing price level in GP- ripple effect?

Hello,

We are using SalesPad with GP. We have an item class that has a price we would like to make the default price on the document. I know within Setup -> Item Class I can change the desired Class ID to a new Default Price Level, but I am unsure if that will have any kind of ripple effect on any existing documents, similar to deleting the price level.

For reference, this price level is already on all the parts within it, it's just a selectable option on a sales document. I'd like it to be the default pricing when it's added to the document automatically.
