Customisation + creation of new tables, forms and fields in Talent

Hi,

Please guide me to understand how we can customise the forms in Talent and create new forms, tables and fields in Talent to meet the client's business requirements.

I have known that we can personalise the forms to add new fields but what can be done if the list of personalisation does not have the fields we require?

Please provide inputs ASAP.

    Hi Neeta,

    You can add additional fields to these forms even it's not in the list of personalization. In the action pane, looking for buttons under Option\Additional information\. Via 'Track more information' you can attach more fields to the existing form.

    Could you please be able to help learn, as part of customisation, how I may be able to

    1. Change the labels of fields and forms

    2. Create new tables

    3. Link the forms to tables

    4. Write logic for processes to fulfil the client's business requirements.

    Hi Gongyi,

    Is that really correct?

    Other answers on this forum from Microsoft representatives have suggested:

    - CDS customisation doesn't flow through to CoreHR yet (so we can't modify entities or add extra entities and have these show up on forms for example)

    - Deploying custom code isn't possible because Talent is a SaaS app

    - Full support for customisation via PowerApps etc. is pending migration to CDS 2.0

    Are these other answers incorrect?

    More specifically, in Talent right now is there a way to:

    1. Add a new entity and add a form to use this entity

    2. Rename fields on a form for existing entities

    Hi Gongyi,

    I was trying to add a field to the Skills form on the employee form from Personnel Management. I couldn't find the Additional information / track more information button (screenshot attached). Don't get what I am missing out.

    Also, I tried to Personalise the form to add the new field, but could not see any fields on the list to select and add. Again, don't get what I am missing out.

    Please guide what can be done. I have read through the Development and Administration document but did not find an answer to this :(

    Matt,

    You are correct. Talent can't be customized like Finance and Operations can be. There is not a way to add a new entity and form within Talent. You can rename some fields in Talent through personalization.

    Neeta,

    In Talent, Jobs, Positions, Workers and Benefit plans can have additional information fields added to them. In the next month or so, you'll be able to add to the other tables within Talent.
