REPORTS

I am trying to print out customized reports but when I follow the proper steps there is nothing to insert. How can I get the reports to show?

Thanks so much. I got it to work by following your directions. You do need to use the Reports in the toolbar and I also had to save my files in the proper folder assigned. Thanks a bunch!

Also, just to verify, are you going to Reports>Customized to find the report(s)?  Customized reports do not appear in the module-specific reports menu as do Modified reports.

Are you sure it is a customized report and not a modified report? A customized report should have been created from scratch. What is the name of the report?

I have the right series and its in the proper workstation. Is there anything I need to load or any security access steps I should do?

    Re: REPORTS

    Hi,

Have you actually created customised reports?

Have you checked all series? Perhaps you selected the wrong sereis when you created the report. The series chosen determines where the report is displayed when you look into the customised reports section. If you go back into the reprt writer, you can change the series in the Report Definition Window. (the underlying tables do not determine where the report appears)

Another possibility is that you created the report in a different reports dictionary to the one you are now looking in now. Did you perhaps create the customised report on another workstation? If so, return to the workstation and search in the customised reports section to see if you can find it. If you do, it means that this workstation is pointing to a different reports dictionary than the one you are looking at now.

To find this reports dictionary, check that workstations .set file. You can then eithre share the reports dictionary with your current workstation (by amending its .set file), or open the report writer and import the customised reports from the 'correct' reports dictionary.

Hope this helps. If not, post again.

    Best regards,
