Primary incident estimated duration not updated on form when adding task to WO

Posted on by

Hello,

When selecting a incident type, the tasks are automatically added to WO after saving. The msdyn_primaryincidentestimatedduration is calculated automatically with the sum of all tasks duration.

When removing a task, this field is automatically updated.

But when adding a task, this field is not udpated.

Does someone know something about this behaviour ?

Thanks

Julien

Thanks a lot Thomas, what is weird is that msdyn_primaryincidentestimatedduration is updated when removing a Work Order Service Tasks from the grid.

I dont think its possible out of the box. I think that the msdyn_primaryincidentestimatedduration field might only be looking at the total number of incident service tasks. Which I guess its being updated by some code.

    What you could do is:

You could create a roll up field calculating the times of the related Work Order Service Tasks and you could use the field as your total time of the Work Order?

Thanks Thomas. Then it is not possible to add a task (with duration updated) in a sub-grid directly from WO ?

I just tested this and it only seems to update if you add the Tasks within the Work Order Incident Record and not by adding them to directly to the Work Order Service Tasks subgrid.
