On Premises Data Gateway Edition Version: 13.0.1500.486
SQL 2014 Edition Microsoft SQL Server 2014 - 12.0.4213.0 (X64) Standard Edition (64-bit) <X64> (Build 9600: )
Issue
Power BI Gateway setups, connects and tests fine (two data sources SSAS first 100MB and 2nd 500MB)
But when we try sync either data source get the error "Data Source Access Error - Please contact Gateway Administrator"
Posts say to check UPN and the effective name from Azure AD to Domain seem fine
Started SQL Profiler and am seeing trace error below
"Errors related to feature availability and configuration: The 'Tabular View' feature is not included in the '64 Bit Standard' edition of Analysis Services"
Question
I have searched far and wide (https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/) and blogs e.t.c.
But can find a min spec that says Power BI Pro users or Consuming Live Data Sources (On Premises Data Gateway) - requires a minimum of SQL BI edition.
Am I missing something should SQL 2014 STD support this?
