Xrm.Page.data.process.moveNext and not dirty form

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I want to clarify something for me.

At MSDN is written that you can use this function only when selected stage and active stage are same (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn817878.aspx#BKMK_moveNext ). But when i try to use moveNext and my form is not dirty (all values saved) and my selected stage is different to current there is not problem to move to next stage, limitation simply not working. Why is this happening? Am i missing something?

I'm on crm 2016 on-premise with all updates installed.

If you are trying to change the stage on change of field value then save the form first using Xrm.Page.data.refresh(save).then(setProcessStage, null); and then change the stage.

and then change the stage in your setProcessStage() function.
