Is it possible to get Total Hours Per Unit of a Finished Good without manually adding up the totals

Posted on by 20

Good morning,

I do Cost Accounting using Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 at the office I work at. One of the challenges I have been facing is coming up with a good way to check and test GP Standard Labor times. The only way I am able to do this is by looking at all of the different sub-components within the BoM that have labor times, and add them all together. This is a pretty daunting task as we have thousands of Finished Good parts with many different sequences and labor codes. Is there any better way to view this information via SQL script or Smartlist? Any help or input is appreciated. Thanks.

    Hello,
I think you can use SmartList to create a query that retrieves the labor times for the sub-components within the Bill of Materials (BoM). By filtering and sorting the data, you can get a better overview of the labor times associated with different sequences and labor codes.
If you have SQL Server access and are comfortable writing SQL queries, you can directly query the Dynamics GP database to retrieve the labor time information. The relevant tables for labor times include SOP10202 (Bill of Materials) and IV00101 (Item Master). By joining these tables and filtering based on your criteria, you can obtain the necessary data to calculate labor times.
