Phone Call Quick Form - Set default value

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Does anyone know of a solution out there that would set the default value of a field on the phone call quick view form?  Ex: A service user adds phone calls records to a Contact record using the Activities Pane (the quick form) and wants the field 'Direction' to always default 'Incoming'.

Obviously I can create a Business Rule to set the default value to 'Incoming' but this is applied to the FULL Phone Call form, not the one in the Activities Pane.

Further I could create a real-time workflow to update the field Direction to 'Incoming', but this does not apply to the quick phone call form on the activities pane.

I assume there is a code based solution out there to change the value of the field direction to true or false.

Let me know with ideas.

    Hi

Phone call quick view, it is not possible to change workflow or business rule. You have to write down plugin for phone call

    Message Name: Create

    Operation: Pre

    Primary Entity: Phone call

    and set those value. .

    CRM ONpremise :

If you want to display at then time of use click,go to systemform table filter by form name. THere is a column name called "formXML" there you can do anything.

    CRM online

IT is not possible to UI, only way is plugin
