Upload new price lists or edit current ones then re-upload

I have many changes to the various price lists that I have in my system. I cannot seem to find the excel template or the process to do a bulk upload. I have 4 different price lists, but I would actually like to add one more. I want to create 5 separate Excel sheets with their associated product prices and then upload them.

Please show me the template and the process.

In Dynamics 365 Sales, there isn't a standard Excel template where you create 5 separate sheets and upload them directly as five Price Lists.

Price Lists and their Price List Items are Dataverse records. Microsoft recommends creating the Price List first, then adding the required products/units and pricing information as Price List Items.

For your scenario, I would suggest:

    1. Go to Sales Hub → App Settings → Product Catalog → Price Lists.
    2. Create your 5 Price Lists (or add the new one).
    3. For each Price List, add the required products as Price List Items.
    4. If you have a large number of products/prices, use Dataverse/Power Query/Dataflow/Configuration Migration or another bulk-import method rather than manually entering every line.
    5. Make sure the Product, Unit, Currency, Pricing Method and Amount are mapped correctly.

Also, the screenshot shows “You don't have access to edit this record.” So before attempting the upload/update, check your security role. Price List privileges inherit from the Product table, so the user needs appropriate Product privileges as well.

If you're specifically looking for an Excel-based bulk-edit process, I would first confirm whether you're using the standard Dynamics 365 Sales Price List shown in the screenshot or Business Central. The two products have different Excel processes.

For standard Dynamics 365 Sales, I wouldn't recommend simply creating five arbitrary Excel sheets and trying to upload them as Price Lists.

Straight answer: there isn't a native "one Excel file, five sheets, upload as five Price Lists" process in Dynamics 365 Sales. Price Lists and Price List Items are Dataverse records, so bulk changes go through Data Management/Import, not a dedicated Price List template.

    Recommended process:

    1. Create the Price Lists first Sales Hub → App Settings → Product Catalog → Price Lists → New. Create your 5th Price List here (the container record itself isn't something you import).

    2. Get the correct Excel template for Price List Items Go to Settings → Data Management → Templates for data import (this is exactly what's highlighted in your first screenshot). Select the Price List Item entity to download a template with the correct columns (Product, Unit, Amount, Currency, Pricing Method, etc.).

    3. Fill one sheet per Price List Populate a separate file/sheet per Price List, matching Product and Unit exactly to existing Dataverse records, since these are lookups, not free text.

    4. Import via Data Management → Imports Use Imports in the same Data Management area to upload each file against the Price List Item entity. This is the correct bulk method rather than manual entry for large product/price volumes.

    5. Map fields correctly Confirm Product, Unit, Currency, Pricing Method, and Amount map cleanly during import, since incorrect lookups will fail or create duplicates silently.

One thing to fix first: your second screenshot shows "Read-only: You don't have access to edit this record." on the Wholesale/DOR price list. Price List Items inherit privileges from the Product table, so before doing any import, confirm your security role has Write access on both Price List and Product. Otherwise the import itself will fail or partially apply.

    Quick order of operations:

    1. Fix security role access on Product/Price List
    2. Create the 5th Price List record
    3. Download the Price List Item template from Data Management
    4. Populate and import per price list
    5. Spot check a few Price List Items after import
