ADFS/IFD On Premise multiple organisations

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi Everyone,

Bit of an odd problem... So we have 6 organisations on same server. We have CRM 2016 on Prem and use ADFS/IFD.

If you navigate to the first organisation we created, you get directed to the ADFS login page, login using your O365 details and you're in.

If you go to any of the other organisations, you get directed to the ADFS page, but when you log in, it just says there's been an error.

Is there a step I need to take when setting up new organisations whilst ADFS/IFD is enabled?

The link that Andrew posted should work if the organisations had been created after IFD was configured, but if the organisations were created before IFD was configured, then it will be a different issue.

Is this for internal or external access, and if it's internal, then what url format are users using - https://orgname.domain  or https://server.domain/orgname  ?

If it's external access, or using https://orgname.domain  internally, then check the DNS settings for each orgname.domain are correct. If that doesn't fix it, what url does the user get redirected to - that information should help diagnose the issue

    Hello,

Article was written for CRM 2015 but I believe it is still relevant - www.interactivewebs.com/.../crm-2015-ifd-adding-a-new-organization-additional-steps
