Business Portal Ver: 12.0.0.6565 Upgrade to 64-bit OS

Hello,

We are using Business Portal Ver: 12.0.0.6565 with MS Dynamics SL Ver 7. We are at a stage where we have been asked to upgrade OS.

Our App vendor has advised that we cannot upgrade OS from windows Server 2008 (32-bit) to Windows server 2008 R2, as Business portal is supported only on 32-bit OS. I'm looking for suggestions to upgrade the OS to Windows Server 2008 R2 so that we can move to Azure.

Any suggestions please?

    Hello Srikanth,

Well it looks like your stuck unfortunately because the environment came back with the following rules

BP 4.x  (SL7)-- compatible with 32 Bit OS only.

    BP 5.x and 6.x (SL8) ---compatible with 64bit OS

Sorry for the bad news regarding this issue.

    Best Regards,

    Jana

    Hello Srikanth,

I think we don't have 64 but for BP until its on 2011 fp1.  I seem to remember it working on 64 bit op systems, but this is a long time ago..BP was retired after the last release of 2011.

I'm asking an Environment team member if they remember the requirements and if we found it worked on 64 bit op systems.

    Best Regards,

    Jana MacDonald
