Hello, for about a week now, a new compliance profile named "pes" has appeared in two of our customers' independent environments. Does anyone know what this is about?
I have the same question (0)

Because the profile has appeared across multiple independent environments and there is currently no public documentation explaining its purpose, it is most likely a Microsoft-managed compliance configuration introduced through a backend service update rather than a configuration issue. Until Microsoft provides clarification, treat it as a system-managed artifact and avoid making changes to it. If you need a definitive answer, Microsoft Support will be able to confirm its purpose for your tenant and whether any action is required.

    Dear @VW-04041200-0

great question, I was asking myself the same thing.

Based on my research, the new “pes” compliance profile appears to be related to the Proactive Engagement capabilities within Dynamics 365 Contact Center.

Dynamics 365 Contact Center and Customer Insights - Journeys are becoming increasingly integrated. One relevant example is Conversational Journeys, which can be enabled through the feature switch settings: “Contact Center Integration”: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-insights/journeys/conversational-journeys-overview

The purpose of the new compliance profile becomes more clearer in the second paragraph of the following MS Learn article: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/contact-center/administer/proactive-engagement-manage-consent

It describes and explains that Proactive Egagement uses consent and compliance profiles from CI-J when contacting customers. Therefore, the “pes” profile is exactly for this purpose.

This means in return, if you do not use the contact center solution, this profile is not relevant for you.

    Best regards,
    Jonas

Contact Center and Customer Insights are growing further together, the most relevant example in relation to the new compliance profile “pes” is the conversational customer journeys (Feature Switch: Contact Center Integration). → https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-insights/journeys/conversational-journeys-overview

If you read the second paragraph of the following MS learn article you will understand what the new compliance profile is for: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/contact-center/administer/proactive-engagement-manage-consent
