We have many customers requesting a modification to the Payroll Pre-check report. This report prints when running the 'Calculate Checks' function in Payroll. The request is always to add totals to the report. Has anyone been successful? I do understand I could reach out to Microsoft Consultants to make this change...
Thanks!

Let me know what modifications you want in which report, if you can provide screen shot it will be helpful.
I will let you know the possibilities of doing it n DEX or SSRS.
I would also be interested in seeing this ssrs Report
I use a combination of SSRS reports, code and separate tables to store the same data generated during the calculate process. The reports appear after the GP pre-check report.
The setup is a bit time consuming but the end results are worth it. I will try to get some steps together so I can share with everyone.
I'd be interested in seeing what you designed via SSRS. The GP report pulls from a temp table. Typically it is difficult if not impossible to create a report using a temp table.
It is the report that is generated when calculating a payroll batch. The report name is 'Pre-Check' Report.
Hi Jeff,
Would you mind sharing a screenshot of the report with me? I'd be interested in seeing what you were able to design using SSRS.
thanks,
Alicia
Hi Alicia,
This report is a tough one to modify because it uses a String 132 to populate the data from the payroll work tables. I created a SRS report similar to this one that pops up after the Pre-check report. This may be an option for you.
What is the report name ? The report name is listed at the top blue bar or you can mark it at the report writer window. Tools - Customize - Report writer - Dynamics GP - reports ...
Example ...
Cheers!
