Creation & Update rules ignored if assigning to queue

Hi there,

I don't know if I have an issue with my C&U rule for my queue or if I try a wrong approach, because I cannot set "queue item" as source for my rules.

What I'm trying to do: I have an email in queue A and assign it to queue B. Because of it's still an email I thought the C&U rule would work, but it seems totally ignored (not triggered).

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for any advice

Tom

    Hi Tom,

The record doesnt get assign to queue rather it get added in queueitem record. So C&U on email wont work however if you register on Create/Update of queueitem then it will work.

    Thanks,

    Prateek

    Hi Prateek,

First of all thanks for your help!

I get your point so far, but what do you mean with "register on create/update"? Using workflows?

I was referring to plugin assembly - the step should be registered on Create/Update of QueueItem. However if you are writing workflow then the workflow should be triggered on Create of QueuItem entity (not email).

But both solutions would mean I have to recreate all the steps already configured for RCU rules?!

yes.. the steps need to be re-created and you have to re-write it on QueueItem entity. :(

    No good news though :(

Well, it seems that results in using RCU rules only for queue that only are used for automatic incoming items I guess.

However, thanks for your help and pointing me to the right direction!
