Do the "Export to data lake" in F & O allows you to do export just a subset of all the data?

Hi guys, Hope you are fine.

I'm currently working with dynamics 365, finance and operations and I need to use the /export to data lake/ feature in order to ingest some data in my data warehouse, could you explain me if it possible to bring just a subset of the data?

Thank you

    Hy,

yes it should be possible to select individuall tables or even entities. If you select entities the underlying tables will automatically be used for the export.

Because of the "Export to Data lake" is depriciated you should be aware of this and take a look to the upcoming "Azure Synapse Link" and "Fabric" features that are both configured using PPAC.
This is a good blog series and starting point to work with Synapse or Fabric How to setup a Fabric lakehouse and keep it updated using Change Data Feed for Dynamics 365 - a deep dive

    Hope this helps.

    Herzliche Grüße / kind regards,

In addition to what has been mentioned by Andreas, once a table has been activated for export, it exports all data in the table and not a subset of the data.

Get the data from the tables you need into a Data Lake first, then work on getting a subset for downstream processing.
