For some reason my opportunity does not have the associated contact, even though the contact name shows up on the opportunity from the drop down. How do I attach the contact to the opportunity?

If you mean "recent opportunities" view on the contact form, it shows you opportunities linked to the contact through the potential customer field. That field can be set to a contact or to an account, but not both. You will likely see that opportunity under the account.
When I look at open opportunities you see the contact name. But when I open the contact the opportunity is not associated with it. We have a privacy policy so I can’t send the screen shot unfortunately.
Hi, not sure.. you could just choose the contact and save the opportunity? Could you clarify what's not working(or, maybe, attach a screenshot)
