Annual Total Compensation/Benefits Summary

Posted on by 81

Can anyone help with the Total Compensation/Benefits Summary in Dynamics GP HR?  Cards - HR - Employee-Benefits - Benefit & Deduction Summary - Benefits - Total Compensation?  I am trying to produce a annual summary to give to employees showing their total compensation including wages, deductions and benefits.  Do you have a different way you are producing statements for employees?  It would be great to also include taxes and unemployment.

    Hi Monica,

This particular report works as far as including the benefits that were paid 'on their behalf', the system does not have a report that I know of that includes all of the things you want. The information is in the system, but you would need to create it. I've been working on putting together a SmartList view that includes the wages, benefits, deductions and FICA. I haven't done the FUTA, SUTA computations yet. I've got the Wages, Deductions & Taxes portion, but not unemployment or workers compensation. Are you interested in something like that?

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

We have followed the steps but are still not able to display the payroll data.  There must be a step that has been missed or something that has not been marked then, if it works.  Do you have any recommendations or should I reach out to Microsoft Support?

    Hi Monica,

Yes, it works, I'm just not sure it gets you everything you want. It comes really close though.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

Thank you Leslie!  I am really hoping that my clients can use the functionality of HR and not have to rely on me to write them reports.  Does the functionality not work?

    Hi,

You can get a lot of what you want from the Payroll Transaction History SmartList. It gives you wages, benefits & deductions. I think you'd be better off to build your own. the Check History table UPR30100 will give you Wages, Benefits, Deductions, FICAS & FICAM. The benefits and deductions are summarized, the detail is located in Transaction History Table, UPR30300. The Pay, Benefits & Deductions are summarized by month in the UPR30301 table. The FUTA, SUTA and workers comp i think are calculated and not stored in a table. If you post in detail, you could get this information from your general ledger, provided you use separate gl accounts for the three items. You can calculate the Workers Comp with the rate in the UPR40700 table and the Unemployment tax setup is in the UPR40100 and UPR40101. Although I haven't done it, it seems pretty straightforward. You'll need to build a couple of views and then combine the views. I've done a SmartList for the settings of each code, but never for the transaction totals.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie
