I have change the value of the optionset keeping label as it is.
before saving it throws warning saying all previous records will have different value then this change.

The records Keep the value as such, and will be shown blank.
If you add an item with the same value with the new (or same old label) label to the optionset again it would show up with the new label in the form.
Generally the requirement would be change of the label instead of the values.
What do you want with value in the old records?
You want to replace with another optionset value altogether
Or
You want to replace with different new values for different record
Or
Not decided yet

For these two month data I need to rollback,
