CR Group's Changer for Canadian Payroll

Posted on by 22,647

We are working on an implementation of the Changer tool for Canadian Payroll and have encountered a 'minor' or could be 'major' issue.

Is there someone out there (not 02/03/15) that can assist me.

We have installed the 'single' click install - no issues

We have added the tools to the TEST company - no issues

We have entered the Registration Keys - no issues

When we try to Validate the Import of the list we get an error (see below) that suggests that there is a SQL error, yet there is nothing that I can see that suggests what the error actually is.

Wondering if anyone else has encountered this message and what was done to get out of the error.  Good news is we are running on a TEST Client against the TEST Database.

Hope someone can assist.

Cheryl I should have closed this case over the weekend as we determined that due to a mismatch in the TEST client GP2013 folder, the CANPAY.dic was not running the correct version.

The developer, CRG, sent out a corrected CNK file and all is well.

    Hi Bill,

I see I missed this additional information.   The report is a "list of invalid employee ID's."

Verify if all the employee ID's in your import file are in both the CPR10100 and UPR00100.   My guess is that either an employee ID in the import file is mistyped, and so doesn't match or is missing from the CPR10100/UPR00100 tables.

    Thanks,

    Cheryl

    Hi Bill,

    What 'Changer' tool is this?

I couldn't find anything on this specific message, so I would recommend to test with minimal information in your import file.  Is there a field called 'isUPR' in your import file or in the table you are importing to?  Almost likes like its trying to insert in a value that is not allowed into this field, so it will not validate it.

I hope the above helps.  I will most likely need you to open a support case to troubleshoot further.

    Thanks,

    Cheryl

    Quick Update

Thinking I might have missed something, I went to Canadian Payroll and 'pushed' a UPR Table fill to the US Payroll tables.

Not sure why this would matter, but, thought I might start by being able to say "I have tried that . . . ." when someone asks.

Now I am getting the following error,
