Hello,

ReportDesigner which is a Module of the Dynamics 365 FINOPS ERP, Bug to the new display.

How to uninstall ReportDesigner without deleting the old reports just the ReportDesigner module and reinstall the ReportDesigner module please?

    I want to uninstall the Report Designer module from my PC, not from the ERP server.

    Do you have a solution for This please ?

    To uninstall and reinstall the Report Designer module in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (FINOPS) without affecting your existing reports, you can follow the steps outlined below:

    Steps to Uninstall the Report Designer Module:

    1. Back Up Your Existing Reports:

      • Though uninstalling Report Designer shouldn’t delete reports, it’s always a good practice to create a backup.
      • Ensure that all reports and data are properly backed up either via the system or exporting them to a secure location.

    2. Access Lifecycle Services (LCS):

      • Log into Microsoft Lifecycle Services (LCS).
      • Find the project in which the environment (with Report Designer) is deployed.
      • Open Environment details and choose the specific environment where Report Designer is installed.

    3. Uninstall the Report Designer Module:

      • In the LCS environment details page, select the Manage environments option.
      • Look for the Installed Apps section.
      • Find the Report Designer module and select the option to uninstall.

    4. Monitor the Uninstallation:

      • Once the uninstall process is triggered, LCS will uninstall the module from your environment. You can monitor this process through the Environment Monitoring dashboard.

    Hi,

    The reason is because we have an issue we the display interface in the module application only on One computer not on the other computer.

    We does not want to reset the financial reporting data mart.

    What is the reason for your requirement? Why do you want to uninstall the ReportDesigner and reinstall it again? If you have e.g. issues with the data, you can reset the datamart database as explained in the documentation: Reset the Financial reporting data mart - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn
